For his English-language debut, Elite Squad (2007) director Jose Padilha has the
dubious honor of handling this long-in-development remake that had trouble holding
onto its stars before filming began. Even with this enviable cast, in the post-Total
Recall (2012), post-Dredd (2012) era, the studio and most everyone involved with
this project must be a bit nervous.
