Filmmakers James Franco and Travis Mathews re-imagine the lost 40 minutes from
"Cruising" as a starting point to a broader exploration of sexual and creative
freedom.

Over the past year, the film world was fixated on both James Franco and Blue Is the
Warmest Color's myriad controversies, so we're a bit surprised there is little
discussion about this tribute to/artistic departure point from William Friedkin's
Cruising, which Franco co-directed with Travis Mathews. John Cameron Mitchell and
Gus Van Sant are always good for a pull-quote when there's a new queer film on the
scene, but we were hoping for a bit more of a breakthrough here.
