It's a good time to be Scott Cooper. The Crazy Heart (2009) filmmaker seems to have
a career in front of him that'll enable him to write and direct his own projects at
his own speed, and attract top-tier actors whose choices always range from
blockbusters to artier fare. Such a seemingly dark thriller as Furnace will always
attract media/online attention, though we're curious to see how this one translates
in terms of box-office performance.
